Delhi releases list of probables for NKP Salve Challenger Trophy

Virender Sehwag (L) and Gautam Gambhir (R) are in Delhi’s list of probable players for the upcoming NKP Challenger Trophy

Delhi posted a strong 28-man list of probables for the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy against India Red and India Blue which starts on September 26th in Indore included several of the capital’s senior and U-19 players

The list includes senior players Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, the currently out of favour Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Ishant Sharma, U-19 captain Unmukt Chand and veteran pacer Ashish Nehra. Rajat Bhatia and Mithun Manhas are also on the list.

Shikhar Dhawan and Ishant Sharma are playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Champions League T20 and so their availablity for Delhi will depend on the Sunrisers’ progress in the tournament. Gambhir, meanwhile, is playing for Essex in the County Championship in the United Kingdom but might just be able to join the Delhi team in time.
