England U19 vs Sri Lanka U19 ODI Series 2024: Full schedule, squads, match timings and live streaming details

The Sri Lanka U19 team is currently touring England for a multi-format series. The tour comprises three-match ODI series, followed by a two-match unofficial Test series. The ODI series will be played from Friday, June 28, to Wednesday, July 3.

The first ODI of the series will be played at the Cloud County Ground in Chelmsford. The action will then shift to Hove where the First Century County Ground will be hosting the final two games of the series.

The England U19 team will be led by Luc Benkenstein. The 16-man squad includes nine players who had participated in the ICC Under-19 One Day World Cup recently. The likes of Tazeem Ali, Farhan Ahmed, Charlie Allison along with Benkenstein will play a key role for the hosts.

The talking point was the inclusion of Rocky Flintoff, the son of former English captain Andrew Flintoff. He is just 16 years old and it will be interesting to see how he goes about his business while representing the U19 English side.

The England U19 team faced Young Lions Invitational XI in a warm-up fixture. It was a closely-fought contest and the Benkenstein-led side emerged victorious by two wickets. They will look to carry forward the winning momentum in the ODI series against Sri Lanka U19.

The Sri Lanka U19 team, on the other hand, faced the Young Lions Invitational XI as a preparation for the ODI series against England U19. After knocking over the Young Lions Invitational XI on 281, they chased down the total in 42 overs to win the game by four wickets.

Dinura Kalupahana has been handed the responsibility of leading Sri Lanka U19 side in the multi-format series against England U19. Kalupahana, Mahith Perera and Gayana Weerasinghe are in decent form with the bat and will be eager to carry forward their form in the ODI series.
