The seamers, in particular, took advantage of the swinging conditions and were responsible for all the England wickets that fell on the day.

Billy Stanlake came back from injury in a roaring fashion and picked up right where he had left off for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. Michael Nesser and Andrew Tye scalped a brace each as well, while Kane Richardson claimed the sole wicket of Johny Bairstow in the 8th over of the game.
