No back-up spinner for Adil Rashid

A big role in England's resurgence has been played by recalled spinner Adil Rashid. Walking on the new English blueprint of taking on the opposition, Rashid has turned into one of the most attacking wrist-spinners in the world. He is not afraid to show his intents of luring the batsmen and neither does he shy away from deception via wrong-'uns.
Such is their reliance on Rashid that their bench strength has a complete absence of another front-line tweaker. Moeen Ali, who could once be banked upon to get through ten economical overs is no longer efficient. In the last two years, Ali has picked only 17 wickets in 25 innings and averaged 59.23 with the ball.
Every other major ODI side has multiple spin options, and if Rashid were to endure an injury, a patch of inconsistency, or if the pitch calls for an extra spin option, England do not have anyone to turn to.
The answer to this shortcoming of theirs could be Mason Crane, who was considered good enough to be a part of the Test side and did well in the two T20Is he featured in. With 12 wickets in six domestic One-Day Cup matches, Crane is certainly a luring prospect.
