#2. Alastair Cook
Probably one of the greatest English captains, Cook isn’t the most flamboyant of players. He isn’t a left-hander with a natural grace of a Ganguly or a Lara but what is to do with grace when one can score more than 12000 Test runs with sheer determination, dedication and a will to score in every series and in situation possible.
After 156 Tests, Cook still is one of the main players in the English side and if he does well at the top of the order, England’s difficulties are reduced to a great level. However, at 33 years of age, this might be the last of Cook against India on his home soil and he would definitely likely to finish against India on a winning note.
