Mohammed Shami has had quite a roller-coaster career with the Indian cricket team so far. He has been extremely effective with the ball whenever he has played, however, constant injuries and controversies have hampered his career.

He played a big role in India’s success in the ODIs against England last time around, picking up 8 wickets in 4 matches at an economy rate of under 5.

Like Ashwin, his performances in the limited overs format began dipping over the past few years and he has not been as consistent as he used to be. With the emergence of Jasprit Bumrah and a few other youngsters, Shami has lost his place in the ODI and T20I sides.
