#5 Ajinkya Rahane
Much was expected out of Rahane in this series. After all, he has been the most reliable and consistent batsman for India playing in the overseas conditions in the past. But, he couldn't live up to the expectations that he has created for himself and will be disappointed with his output in the series.
Ajinkya Rahane did score a couple of half-centuries in this series but has struggled big time even in those innings. The chances may be running out for the deputy skipper if he continues with his indifferent form.
#4 Jonny Bairstow
Jonny Bairstow came into this series with a rich vein of form and brilliant run with the bat in 2018 in the One-day international format. He was expected to bolster the already strong English middle order but couldn't reproduce the same purple patch in this series.
To add to his misery, he sustained a fractured finger while keeping and has not kept wickets since then. His place might be in danger if he doesn't perform well as Jos Buttler has made a strong comeback to the Test format.
