#3 Play six specialist batsmen
There is no doubting the fact India’s Achilles heel overseas over the past few years has been the crumbling of its famed batting line up. While the bowlers have more often than not been able to pick up the 20 wickets in a test match, the batsmen have failed to get going. Even in the first test, the bowlers had done their job but the batsmen failed to chase down even 194 runs in the fourth innings.
All batsmen apart from Virat Kohli, have looked at sixes and sevens against the swing bowling of English bowlers. Add to that, Hardik Pandya has hardly looked the all-rounder that the team management wished for. He has struggled to make an impact with either the bat or the ball. Hence, the Indian team management should look to play another specialist batsman in the form of Karun Nair to bolster their batting line up.
