Rishabh Pant - 4/10

Pant was picked in the last three Test matches of this series to replace Dinesh Karthik who had horrible first two Test matches with the bat. In spite of looking prominent with the bat in the third Test with a score of 24 on debut, Pant's performance gradually faded in the remaining two Test matches. His performance with the gloves was also unsatisfactory as he conceded too many byes due to his ill-refined technique of catching the ball, particularly on his weaker right side.

In 5 innings, he managed to score 162 runs at an average of 27. His score of 114 runs in the 2nd innings of the last Test was quite impressive. Hence, his performance with the bat or with the gloves hasn't certainly justified his right to remain as the front-line wicket-keeper batsman for India in next series. Hence, his place in the Test team will be subject to scrutiny before the next Test series.

Hardik Pandya - 5.5/10

Hardik Pandya had a mixed-bag Test series. Except for his one match-winning performance in the 3rd Test with the bowl and bat, he wasn't able to provide any substantive performance in other Test matches in this series. Despite being an aggressive batsman, he resorted to defending even the spinners which proved to be quite disappointing.

With the bat, he managed to score 164 runs in 8 innings at an average of 23.42. He was more influential for India with the ball as he managed to take 10 wickets in 6 innings at an average of 24.70 and economy rate of 3.84.
