Pakistan's bowling was simply marvelous in the first innings and the likes of Hasan Ali and Mohammad Abbas tore the England batting apart.

Hasan Ali was splendid with the ball as he bowled a spell of 4/51. Two of his scalps were big ones- Joe Root and Jos Buttler. His other two scalps were Dawid Malan and Mark Wood.
Mohammad Abbas was the best Pakistani bowler in the first innings as he picked up four wickets for just 23 runs in 14 overs, bowling 7 maidens. Abbas dismissed Mark Stoneman before getting rid of the dangerous Ben Stokes. His other scalps were debutant Dominic Bess and Stuart Broad.
With pressure already on England, the Pakistan bowlers would be looking to bowl in similar fashion in the second innings.
