ESPN to telecast Duleep Trophy

Defending champions East Zone

One of the semi-finals and the final of India’s zonal domestic competition Duleep Trophy will be aired live on ESPN from Kochi, where the matches are set to take place.

For the commentary feed, if the Challenger Trophy coverage is anything to go by, then in all likelihood, Duleep Trophy will be aired with dual feed – in Hindi and English.

Both the semis will be on October 10-13; however, only East Zone vs. North Zone match will be live on TV simply because the final will be played at the same venue – Kochi. It makes lot of business sense when it comes to airing domestic cricket.

Though East Zone is the defending champion, North Zone and West Zone have been the most successful teams with 17 wins each.
