Former India cricketer Laxmi Ratan Shukla, who is contesting the West Bengal assembly polls as a Trinamool Congress candidate, possess assets worth over Rs.4.5 crore. Contesting from Howrah North in Howrah district, the former Bengal captain has declared his annual income for the year 2014-15 to be Rs.1.12 crore.
His movable properties are valued in excess of Rs.3.31 crore and comprise bank deposits of Rs.1.21 crore, Rs.1.07 crore in personal advances, Rs.67.37 lakh in investments and jewellery worth Rs.10 lakh.

Shukla who played three One-Day Internationals (ODI), has immovable properties comprising two residential apartments, worth Rs. 1.53 crore. The 35-year-old has not been convicted of any offence.
