Harishankar Reddy's name has been doing the rounds on the domestic circuit for a while now. Courtesy of his impact performances at the Karbonn Andhra T20 and Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy 2021 for Andhra, he was snapped up at his base price of 20 lakhs at this year's auction by the Chennai Super Kings. The lanky 22-year-old speedster was able to build up a nice pace and extract movement off the Wankhede pitch where CSK are slated to play 5 matches. As CSK do not have any matches scheduled at Chepauk, the management might be tempted to provide a chance to the youngster in the early part of the tournament.

Reddy reinforced his credentials at the CSK training camp, where he clean-bowled MS Dhoni during a practice session. The video has gone viral ever since. One hopes to see the pacer from Kadappa donning the yellow jersey and rub shoulders with some of the best in the game.
