#1 Michael Clarke
Former Australian captain Michael Clarke was one of the most sought-after names in the IPL as he often pulled out of the tournament due to national commitments. Ahead of the 2012 IPL, he was snapped up by the Pune Warriors India franchise in the auction.
Things didn't go in the way he would have expected as the right-hander failed to replicate his national success in the IPL. He managed to play just six matches that season and faced 94 balls in which he scored 98 runs without hitting a six.
