Consistency and fitness are two key important things for a player to survive in the team. We have seen a lot of players who quit their career due to injury or forced to retire due to inconsistency issues. Sachin during the 90s was an example of how a player must maintain his fitness and consistency.
Between 25th April 1990 and 24th April 1998, Sachin Tendulkar represented India in a total of 239 matches (54 Test and 185 ODIs) without missing a single game. Till date, this remains a world record for the most consecutive matches for a team.
