Full list of MI New York players for Major League Cricket 2024 ft. Kieron Pollard and Nicholas Pooran

The second edition of the Major League Cricket (MLC) kicks off on Friday, July 5, in the United States of America (USA). The first season was a major success with several star players in action, and expect the same in the upcoming season.

A total of six teams - MI New York, Seattle Orcas, Texas Super Kings, Los Angeles Knight Riders, Washington Freedom, and San Francisco Unicorns - will take part in the competition. The second edition of MLC will be played from July 5 to July 28.

A total of 21 league matches will be played, followed by four playoff games. All fixtures will be played across two venues - Church Street Park in Morrisville and Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.

The opening game will see MI New York lock horns against Seattle Orcas. The Church Street Park in Morrisville will host the match on Friday.

MI New York are the defending champions. They qualified for the playoffs after winning only two games out of five. Later on, they displayed an all-around effort in the playoffs, beating the Seattle Orcas by seven wickets in the final to lift the maiden title of MLC.

Kieron Pollard will be leading MI New York in MLC 2024. Nicholas Pooran, who was the highest run-scorer in MLC 2023, will keep wickets for the franchise in the upcoming edition of the MLC. Pooran, Pollard, Dewald Brevis, Tim David, and Monank Patel form a solid batting line-up.

MI New York have one of the most lethal bowling attacks in the competition. Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, and Trent Boult are expected to lead the pace-bowling attack while Rashid Khan and Nosthush Kenjige are the lead spinners.

MI New York, who certainly have the squad to defend the title, will be hoping to put their best foot forward in the opening game against the Seattle Orcas.
