Although they finished bottom of the pile last year, winning just four of their 14 games, no side released fewer players than Kings XI Punjab’s four. With a strong batting line-up that is full of experience and a bowling line-up that has some quality Indian pacers, Kings XI will expect to do much better in 2017.

While they have quality openers, all-rounders, and batsmen, the one are in which they lack is a spearhead who can guarantee wickets. Whether that is a spinner, pacer or a foreign player, that is who they will look for as they will look to better their tally of four wins. With the most money of any side going into IPL Auction 2017, they certainly have the cash to go for the players that they need.
