While no team has retained more players than Royal Challengers Bangalore, only one team has released more than them as well. While RCB have kept hold of the majority of their squad that got them to the IPL final, they also let go of a few they didn’t think fit in as well.

Chief among those was Chris Jordan, whose ability to pick up wickets was overshadowed by the runs he gave away and thus he was gone, along with three other international pace bowling options in David Wiese, Kane Richardson, and Varun Aaron. With Mitchell Starc set to play this year, it is unlikely that they will need to spend big on pacers but if there’s any department that they need to improve, it is their bowling.
