GT vs CSK, IPL 2023 Qualifier 1: Toss result and playing XIs for today's match, umpires list and pitch report

Gujarat Titans (GT) take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday (May 23). While the losing side will get a second chance to book a place in the IPL 2023 final, both teams will be keen to confirm their berth by winning this clash.

GT topped the points table after the league stage, winning ten of their 14 games. They will be high on confidence, having beaten Sunrisers Hyderabad (34 runs) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (6 wickets) in their last two games. The form of their captain Hardik Pandya is among the few causes for concern, though.

CSK, meanwhile, confirmed their playoffs spot with a thumping 77-run win over Delhi Capitals (DC) in their last league game. Their openers have been in terrific form, while pacer Deepak Chahar has found rhythm at the right time.

Gujarat hold a 3-0 lead over Chennai in the head-to-head battle, but CSK will look to ride the MS Dhoni wave at Chepauk in their quest to register their first win over Hardik Pandya and Co.

Gujarat Titans have won the toss and have opted to bowl first. Speaking about the decision, captain Hardik Pandya said:
