Heinrich Klaasen is a professional wicketkeeper-batter representing the South African cricket team in limited overs and the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Though he started as an opener, Klaasen soon established himself in the middle order in limited-overs cricket. Educated at Menlo Park High School and the University of Pretoria, he debuted for Northerns in the 2012-13 season, averaging 42.58 in the provincial three-day cup. Klaasen's breakthrough came with a massive 195 for the Titans in 2017.
Klaasen quickly impressed in international T20s, scoring 69 off 30 against India in 2018, and two years later, he scored an unbeaten 123 in an ODI against Australia. In 2023, he blasted 174 off 83 against the same team.
