It was a humdinger of a contest last night between RCB and CSK. On a pitch threatening to turn like a cobra, we saw an exhibition of batsmanship from De Villiers, Rayudu and Captain Cool, MS Dhoni.

Batting first, De Villers displayed a glimpse of his genius as he stroked the CSK bowlers to all corners of the ground. The South African's innings of 68 included eight towering sixes and two boundaries. AB's blitz powered RCB to 8-205 in 20 overs.

If De Villiers' blitz wasn't enough, Rayudu matched the South African regarding six-hitting as the vile batsman stroked eight sixes en-route to a pristine 82 off 53 balls.

Rayudu was ably supported by a vintage MSD, who led a calculative assault on RCB bowlers, the highlight being a six off a full and widish yorker from Siraj to backward point.

Dhoni's 70 off 34 balls constituted seven Brobdingnagian sixes to cap off a memorable run-chase for CSK.

In all, 33 sixes were hit in the match to go along with 18 boundaries.
