MS Dhoni, the most successful Indian captain, and Sakshi Rawat also share a beautiful love story that is still continuing as couples.

Although they knew each other since their childhood, they didn't fall in love then. Both of them studied in the same school in Ranchi and their families shared a cordial relationship as well. Later, Sakshi's family shifted to Dehradun due to which the two couldn't remain in touch with each other.

However, destiny had other plans for them. Dhoni met with Sakshi after almost a decade at the Taj Bengal during Team India's stay in 2007. Sakshi, who was an intern in the hotel, was introduced to MS Dhoni by Yudhajit Dutta, Dhoni's manager. When Sakshi left the hotel after the internship, Dhoni asked Yudhajit for Sakshi's number and texted her.

Sakshi initially thought that those texts were just a prank, before realizing that it was 'Captain Dhoni' who texted her. The two started dating each other in March 2008. Sakshi even attended Dhoni's birthday party in the same year. Dhoni and Sakshi's affair was a secret one, so was their wedding ceremony. The couple finally married on 4 July 2010.
