Punjab would look forward to ironing out last year's mistakes

Sam Curran was one of the costliest buys of this IPL auction. His performances of late, especially against India, has raised expectations from him and Kings XI Punjab will be expecting that he delivers. However, provided this happens, Kings XI will again be hampered towards the fag end of the tournament and given their dismal run last year in the 2nd half of the tournament, this could well be playing on their minds already.

Moises Henriques is a like for like replacement for the young all-rounder and doesn't seem likely to make it to the Australian world cup team and Kings XI would hope he has a good season.

Kings XI is not very likely to be presented with any other serious headache in terms of player availability. With Jadeja being the primary limited over back-up to the Indian Spin Twins in Chahal and Kuldeep, Ashwin is almost a certainty to play through the entire season provided his fitness permits.
