Mumbai, May 7 (IANS)

Sunrisers Hyderabad star willower Eoin Morgan. who earned the man of the match award on Thursday for his blazing knock against Rajasthan Royals, says he is now reaping the dividends for having worked on a few aspects of his batting after a poor performance in the World Cup.

Morgan cracked 63 of only 28 balls, plundering four boundaries and five sixes to enable his side reach an intimidating 201/4. In reply, the Royals managed 194/7 to lose by seven runs.

Morgan, who captained England in the February-March World Cup, scored only 90 runs in five innings.

Asked about the wicket, he said his side had expected the wicket to be batting friendly.

"We expected it to be a great wicket to bat on, but it didn't play like that. It was better to play straight than square."
