#2 Australia

Australia hold the record for the highest ODI total in the history of World Cup as they scored a monumental total of 417-6 against Afghanistan at the 2015 World Cup. The match took place in Perth, with the hosts breezing past the Asian nation in a quite spectacular fashion.
The Aussies had lost the toss and were asked to bat first, a decision which won't be fondly remembered by the Afghanistan camp as they suffered Australia's wrath in the middle. It was a David Warner special as he scored 178 runs from just 133 balls to help his side put on such a big total.
Warner was aptly supported by Steve Smith, who missed out on a century as he got dismissed for 95. There was one more man who was utterly devastating that day - Glenn Maxwell.
The Victorian smashed the Aghanistani bowlers with a blistering knock of 88 which came in just 39 balls. His inning comprised of six fours and seven sixes.
Australian bowlers made quick work of the Afghanistani batsmen as the team was sent packing for just 142, thus giving Australia the win by a margin of 275 runs.
