Tom Curran comes from a cricketing family. His dad Kevin Curran is a former Zimbabwe cricketer and his two siblings are cricketers as well. As a quick bowling all-rounder, he is expected to play a major role in this World Cup with both the bat and the ball.

The 24-year-old has 27 wickets in 17 ODI matches. Curran's experience of playing domestic cricket for Surrey County Cricket Club would be valuable for him. The World Cup script looks custom-made for Curran - a cricketer by birth playing in well-known conditions.

Lungi Ngidi is a skilled fast bowler in the South African squad. The 23-year-old has got 34 wickets in 18 ODI matches. He also has the experience of playing under the World Cup-winning skipper MS Dhoni for IPL 2018 winners Chennai Super Kings.

The South African speedster sustained a shoulder injury recently which ruled him out of the 2019 Indian Premier League. However, Ngidi has recouped well and would look to make an impact in this year's World Cup as the youngest Proteas player.
