His performance in the T20s has been below par according to his standards and performances in the other formats of the game.

Kohli only played 10 T20I matches for the Indian side in 2018 where he scored 211 runs with his highest score of 61 not out coming against Australia in the last match of the T20I series between India and Australia. Kohli had recently been rested for the T20I series against the Kiwis. In his T20I career so far, he has 2167 runs to his name at an average of 49.25.
Kuldeep Yadav reaches career-best second position
Kuldeep Yadav has been an integral part of the Indian side in ODIs and T20Is. Yadav put up some great performances in 2018 which saw him pick up 21 wickets at an outstanding average of 9.81.
His ability to strike in every 10th ball made him all the more dangerous. His best performance came against England at Old Trafford where he picked up figures of 5 for 24 in his 4 over spell. Kuldeep's figures of 2 for 26 in the final T20I against the Kiwis pushed him to a career-best position of Number 2 in the T20I bowler's rankings.
Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan rise further
Apart from Kuldeep, Rohit Sharma went up to number 7 after featuring in almost all of India's T20I games in 2018 where he amassed 590 runs at an average of 36.88.
Sharma's partner Shikhar Dhawan put up some great performances in 2018 where he scored 690 runs at a phenomenal average of 40.59. This was also Dhawan's best performance in T20Is in a calendar year. Dhawan went up to Number 11 in the latest batsmen's rankings.
