#2 MS Dhoni
MS Dhoni is India's most experienced player in the World Cup squad. The wicket-keeper batsman will be playing the fourth World Cup of his career.
Many believe that Dhoni is likely to announce his retirement from international cricket after the World Cup. Therefore, the legend would have plenty of motivation to sign off with his head high.
Dhoni has the experience of playing 341 ODIs for the Indian national team, from which he has scored 10,500 runs. The 2011 World Cup winning captain has been in tremendous form for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2019; from 10 matches he has scored 314 runs, displaying his world-famous hard-hitting abilities.
Dhoni's experience will help him adapt to any batting position and play the anchor role in case of a batting collapse. More importantly though, Kohli will need the Jharkhand player on the field for his captaincy tips.
