The teenage sensation from Afghanistan, a legend in the making, Rashid Khan has been dominating almost all the bowling charts over the past couple of years. The second-ranked ODI bowler at present, Rashid holds the key for Afghanistan in the World Cup alongside Mujeeb. One of the best bowlers in world cricket in limited-overs today, excelling in leagues all over the world, Rashid proved his worth against big teams in the Asia Cup. The deputy skipper of the Afghan team has been instrumental in Afghanistan's qualification for the World Cup.

The leading wicket-taker in 2018, Rashid finished with 48 wickets from 20 games, at an average of 14.45, the best in the list and also strike rate of 22.2. He had two five-wicket hauls and one four-fer and had best figures of 5/24 in 2018. If Rashid spins his wave around oppositions, it is highly likely that Afghanistan script history, pipping the more fancied oppositions. Rashid Khan is expected to top the bowling charts in the World Cup just like he has done since his arrival in international cricket.

Apart from these five, some of the other bowlers who can finish as the leading wicket-takers include Mujeeb Ur Rehman, Mustafizur Rahman, Yuzvendra Chahal, Trent Boult, Shaheen Afridi, and Liam Plunkett.
