The third season of the ILT20, organized by the Emirates Cricket Board, is set to commence on January 11 and will conclude on February 9. The tournament will consist of 34 matches, which will follow a double round-robin format. Each of the six participating teams will play ten games with fixtures spread across three premier venues: Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

MI Emirates enter the tournament as the defending champions, having secured a commanding 45-run victory over Dubai Capitals in the 2024 final. In the inaugural 2023 edition, the Gulf Giants emerged victorious, defeating the Desert Vipers by seven wickets to claim the first-ever ILT20 title.

The 2025 edition will open with a thrilling rematch of last season’s final, as MI Emirates face Dubai Capitals at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This showdown is expected to set the tone for what promises to be a fiercely competitive tournament.

The league boasts an impressive roster of international stars, including Fakhar Zaman, Lockie Ferguson, Shai Hope, Najibullah Zadran, Matthew Wade, Jason Roy, and Tim Seifert, among others. However, the ILT20 coincides with other major T20 leagues, such as the BBL, BPL, and SA20, potentially leading to scheduling conflicts for some players.
