Team India completed a 2-0 whitewash over Bangladesh as they clinched the second Test by seven wickets at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Tuesday, October 1. Rohit Sharma and company managed to fashion a result despite the better part of three days being sabotaged by rain.

Bangladesh were two wickets down in their second innings at Stumps on Day 4, and India were always going to ask serious questions of the visitors. The bowlers did their job before a comfortable chase was completed in under 20 overs.

On that note, here are India's player ratings from the second Test against Bangladesh.

IND vs BAN 2024, 2nd Test: Jaiswal shines with twin fifties

Rohit Sharma: 7.5/10

Rohit's sparkling cameo set the tone for India to take a first-innings lead in rapid time. There wasn't much he could've done concerning his dismissal in that essay, although his second-innings wicket was a touch disappointing. The Indian captain was decent with his leadership.

Yashasvi Jaiswal: 9.5/10

Jaiswal walked away with the Player of the Match award for his twin fifties in the Test, which gave India impetus at the top of the order. He's quickly turning out to be one of the team's most reliable players, not just at the crease but in the slips as well.

Shubman Gill: 6.5/10

Gill essayed an important hand in the first innings, with his 39 ensuring that the openers' good work didn't go in vain. He perished playing a big shot and couldn't deliver on the final day of the Test.

Virat Kohli: 7.5/10

Kohli had one of his better outings in recent times. He was inventive at the crease in the first innings before being forced to play a slog-sweep across the line and was there to see the winning runs being hit on Day 5. The star batter should take heart from this display as New Zealand come calling.

Rishabh Pant: 4/10

Pant had a rare Test in which he didn't make a batting contribution, with Bangladesh tying him down well. He was tidy behind the stumps.

KL Rahul: 8.5/10

Rahul played a much-needed knock in the first innings as he fluently batted on to take India to a decent lead. The middle-order batter essayed some delightful shots to silence some of his critics.

Ravindra Jadeja: 7.5/10

Jadeja picked up four wickets in the Test, with three being in quick succession to turn the tide on Day 5. As reliable as ever with the ball, the all-rounder couldn't contribute with the bat.

Ravichandran Ashwin: 8.5/10

Ashwin notched up yet another Player of the Series award after finishing with five scalps in the Test. He bowled superbly after taking the new ball in the second innings, without much help from the pitch.

Akash Deep: 9/10

Deep was one of India's standout bowlers as he made an impression despite bowling limited overs. He was relentlessly accurate and constantly asked questions of the Bangladesh batters. He even helped himself to a couple of big hits.

Jasprit Bumrah: 9/10

Bumrah was his incredible self in Kanpur as he fashioned a bunch of wickets out of nothing. The pacer's numbers in Asia reached another level of marvelous, with his six scalps playing a massive role in India's win.

Mohammed Siraj: 4/10

Siraj was easily the worst bowler on display in Kanpur. The pacer was the most expensive Indian bowler in both innings and finished with just two wickets to his name. He took a splendid catch, but his accuracy and ability to extract help are highly questionable.
