With a target of 330, India lost Gambhir in the first over. Then walked in Virat Kohli and played one of the best knocks of his career scoring 183 of 148 balls which included twenty-two boundaries and two sixes.
He managed to keep the required run rate in control throughout his innings and turned a stiff chase into a cakewalk. This innings came against a strong Pakistani bowling attack which included the likes of Shahid Afridi, Umar Gul, Junaid Khan and Saeed Ajmal.
