#5 Ajinkya Rahane
Alongside Pujara and Kohli, Rahane is part of the spine of the Indian batting order. On the 2014 tour, he was one of a dew batman that had a major impact. He scored a hundred in the second Test at Lord's, rescuing his side from a poor position.
In 2015 he became just the fifth Indian to score centuries in both innings of a Test. He also deputised as captain in 2017 following an injury to Virat Kohli and has established himself as one of the world's leading batsmen.
What also could be vital to potential Indian success in 2018 is his slip catching ability. He has broken numerous records, most notably on 5 August 2015, he broke the record of most catches in a test match taking 8 in a Test against Sri Lanka at Galle.
