279 runs- India vs England, Leeds 1986
With confidence on their side following their win at Lord's, India went to Leeds, hoping to double the scoreline. Opting to bat first, they put up 272 runs on the board, thanks to a patient 61 from Dilip Vengsarkar.
Then with the ball, it was Roger Binny's turn to put on a show, and his figures of 5 for 40 helped dismiss England for 102, enabling the visitors to take a 170-run lead.
Batting in the second innings, it was once again Vengsarkar, who stood up and delivered with an unbeaten 102 that helped his side set 408 for England to chase and with the ball in the final innings, Maninder Singh's four-wicket haul derailed the English to 128 all out, thereby handing India their biggest Test win outside the sub-continent.
