Gautam Gambhir played a fantastic knock 80* off 107 deliveries during Rohit Sharma's debut match against Ireland. The left-handed batsman had a fantastic career for the Indian national team. Gauti played 58 Tests, scoring a total of 4154 runs at an average of 41.96; 147 ODIs, scoring a total of 5238 runs at an average of 39.68, and 37 T20Is, scoring a total of 932 runs at an average of 27.41.
The 37-year-old also had a healthy strike rate in all three formats. He is also known for leading KKR to two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014, respectively. The Delhi-born player recently announced his retirement in December 2018. He scored a century for Delhi in his last match against Andhra Pradesh.
Besides contributing to social causes, Gauti is currently spending time with his family, especially his two daughters. The feisty player will always be remembered for playing an integral part in India's victory at the 2011 World Cup as he scored a match-winning knock of 97.
