Reserves: Karun Nair, Prithvi Shaw, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Umesh Yadav
One man whose place in the squad remains uncertain is Karun Nair. Although Nair's odds of getting released are too high, India might get longer with Nair given his exploits as a batsman, in case India needs one for the last two Tests.
Prithvi Shaw, the young lad from Mumbai, can be a prospective inclusion to the Indian squad for the last two Tests. With Vijay struggling to get going, Shaw might well get his first Test call-up for India. Although it might seem too early for India to include Shaw in the squad, his exploits as a batsman call for the counter argument.
Ravindra Jadeja is yet to play a match in this series. But given his ventures as an able all-rounder, he proves to be an equally strong option as any other player in the playing XI. Thus, Jadeja is expected to continue in the squad for the remainder of the series as well.
Although Kuldeep Yadav failed to contribute in the Lord's Test, he is too good a player to be dropped from the squad. Thus, cometh the last two Tests, Kuldeep will be a part of the squad.
To be fair enough, Umesh Yadav has been an equally tempting option as any other bowler in the squad. However, he has failed to retain his place in the playing for the previous two Tests. Nevertheless, he is set to maintain his place in the squad for last two Tests.
Full squad for India for last two Tests: Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (C), Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant (WK), Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Md. Shami, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Karun Nair, Prithvi Shaw, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Umesh Yadav.
India's Predicted XI for 4th Test: Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (C), Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant (WK), Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Md. Shami, Ishant Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah.
