The former India captain had a below-par tournament as he struggled to find his rhythm with the bat. There are serious question marks now raised about whether he still can be the player he once was and whether he can be a viable option for the World Cup. He was excellent with the gloves on, though, and also helped India in a couple of DRS referrals.

Abhinav Bindra’s gold medal in shooting at the 2008 Olympics also had a huge impact on Mohul.
