Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja made a comeback into the ODI team after a long time and immediately had an impact. He took a four-wicket haul on his return against Bangladesh and continued his stifling bowling throughout the tournament. Jadeja's fielding was exemplary.
Rating- 8/10.
Kuldeep Yadav
Kuldeep Yadav finished as the joint-highest leading wicket-taker in the Asia Cup 2018 and showed how variety and being a different option with the ball can play a big role in One-day cricket.
Rating- 8/10.
Yuzvendra Chahal
Unlike his spin twin Kuldeep, Chahal had a relatively quiet Asia Cup. He managed to pick just six wickets throughout the tournament although he did bowl well in patches. The way Chahal trapped Imrul Kayes in the final was pure genius.
Rating- 6.5/10.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Bhuvneshwar Kumar too ended up with six wickets in the tournament but was fantastic throughout the Asia Cup as he bowled stifling lengths and gave the batsmen no room to free their arms. He was brilliant at the death overs as well.
Rating- 7/10.
Jasprit Bumrah
Bumrah finished with eight wickets in the tournament as he formed a partnership with senior partner Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He was brilliant in the death overs.
Rating- 7.5/10.
Khaleel Ahmed
The young fast bowler from Rajasthan played in two matches and picked up 3/48 and 1/45 respectively. For someone who has played only two first-class games and a handful of List-A matches, and without having had a five-wicket haul in either, the India call-up must have come as a pleasant surprise. He was a tad expensive but the experience he gained by playing at the world stage will only boost his confidence.
Rating- 6/10.
We feel it is unfair to rate Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, Manish Pandey, Deepak Chahar as they played only one game. Likewise, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur and Sidharth Kaul will not be rated as they could not get a game.
