India should play with Fast Bowler(s)

Most of the experts are saying that Indian Fast bowlers didn’t bowl well in the last ODI vs England at Southampton. I don’t agree to what they have said. Because I don’t think any of them are fast bowlers. I mean Can we call R.Vinay Kumar and Praveen Kumar fast bowlers??? They are genuine medium pacers. And Munaf who once bowled at a speed of 145+ Kph by mistake is actually a genuine slow pace bowler….

Jokes apart, India must give a chance to Varun Aaron. He has bowled some quick spells in the domestic competitions including IPL. The 3 bowlers mentioned above have bowled at the average speed of 120 kph to 132 kph and that is not going to help in any playing condition according to me. I understand that we should not expect much out of Praveen Kumar as he is a genuine swing bowler. But We can’t afford to have Vinay Kumar and Munaf Patel if they are here to bowl at 120 KPH. I don’t understand what is Munaf doing in the team when Sreesanth is fit!!!!! Sreesanth can swing the ball bothays and that too at a good pace. And if we talk about attitude, Sreesanth has much better attitude than of Munaf. At least that guy gives his 100%. I don’t see any intent of playing with heart in Munaf. The way he fields at boundary and the way he picks the ball and the way he throws back to keeper or bowlers is absolutely horrible and pathetic. After watching the last game till 2.30 AM, I thought Munaf should have been sent back to home immediately on his own.

With Zaheer is injured, Sreesant out of team and RP Singh’s poor form Varun Aaron is the guy who has something at this point o time to change the forunes of Team India. After 2 ODIs in a 5 match series, We are 1-0 down. We must give a chance to Aaron as current 3 guys aren’t doing a good job so there isn’t any harm if new guy comes and he goes for few runs. But, if he gets a chance in last ODI and does does well in the last game when India is down by 3-0 then it would be better if he can do that when India is down by 1-0 and still in a position to bounce back in the series. I feel that Varun Aaron will surely get some help from the English soil.

I think selectors are the culprits in this issue. Everyone,including Shrikanth him self are wondering that why RP is in the team and why Sreesanth isn’t. We also need to use our Fast bowlers strategically and carefully to save them from burnouts. I also feel that if players are interested in playing IPL, there is nothing wrong because they are playing for country so if they play for money for 2 out of 12 months, nothing wrong in that.
