England won the five-match Test Series 3-1
England vs India Test Series 2014 could not have got off to a better start for the visitors. Although the first Test was full of runs and not much else, things changed very quickly thereafter. After 1,344 runs for just 29 wickets, the second Test was a green seamer that saw no team score more than 350. Surprisingly, it was the visitors who came out on top and a 1-0 lead going into the third Test would have been the stuff of every Indian fan's dreams.
It didn't take long for the dream to turn into a nightmare. After the first innings of the third Test, which they lost by 266 runs, India didn't get past 200 again in the series. They ended up losing the last two games by an innings to lose the series 3-1.

India won the five-match ODI series 3-1
Much like the Test series, the first game of England vs India 2014 ODI Series was one in which neither team were able to take an advantage. But in the second game, it was India who capitalized as they ended up winning by 133 runs. Unlike the Test series, India didn't relinquish the advantage in the ODIs as they went on to win the third and fourth ODIs by six and nine wickets respectively to seal the series.
