India Under-19 beat Australia Under-19 by a margin of 18 runs (D/L method) in the Youth One Day International match at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.

Batting first, India posted a total of 321 for the loss of five wickets in 50 overs. Akhil Herwadkar and Ricky Bhui scored half-centuries for the home team while Shreyas Iyer destroyed the Australian bowlers en-route to his 67-ball 109, a knock that included six sixes and ten boundaries.

In reply, Australia were 156/3 by the end of 30 overs as rain intervened. The Kangaroos were off to a very good start but were pegged back by the introduction of slow bowlers, who applied brakes on the scoring rate.

Australia Under-19 were found 18 runs short of the Duckworth-Lewis requirement at the time of the rain intervention, resulting in a loss for the visitors.
