#2 Don't lose too many wickets to the wrist-spinners

The Indian wrist-spinners have been at the top of their games against non-Asian countries, especially in the recent overseas ODI series. And they will be even more dangerous on the home turf as the pitches might suit them better.

One of the reasons why Australia lost their recent ODI series against India at home is that they gave away too many wickets to the wrist-spinners. It's always the case that when you lose a wicket to a spinner, you tend to lose too many in quick succession as the newcomer will be under pressure.

Hence, Australia can apply their patience during the middle-overs and rotate the strike instead of going after them. Once they see off this phase, they can unleash towards the end.

The Australian team can do this only if their quality batsmen survive against the spinners. So the team think-tank should keep this in mind and decide the batting order accordingly. If they expose their weakness in the middle overs against the spinners, then it could be an easy phase for the Indians.
