Still part of the top-10 in the rankings, the vice-captain will have to shoulder the responsibility of anchoring the middle order, especially with the changing top order making the line-up prone to disintegrating. He might not be a star in limited overs cricket, but there is no denying the fact that he is one of the most reliable as far as Tests are concerned.
