His partner in crime as far as spin bowling is concerned Ravindra Jadeja also had a very productive series with the ball in hand, taking 26 scalps, including22 a 10-wicket haul in the final Test in Chennai. He also made 224 runs with the bat in the series.

Jayant Yadav

The young all-rounder made his Test debut in Vizag and had an amazing debut outing with the Test squad, contributing both with bat and ball. The Haryana all-rounder amassed 221 runs in the 3 Tests and also picked up 9 wickets in the three Tests that he played in.

Mohammad Shami

Rating: 7.5/10

India’s best fast bowler in this series. Shami was consistently above the 140 kph mark and troubled every England batsman with his pace and accuracy. He finished with 9 wickets in 3 Tests.

Umesh Yadav

Rating: 7/10

Umesh Yadav continued to show improvements as a Test match bowler and barring the spinners, was the lone Indian bowler, who featured in all five Tests. He picked up 8 wickets in the five matches at an economy of 3.22.

Ishant Sharma

The speedster featured in the final Test of the series and picked up just 3 wickets, but was extremely accurate and economical, going at the rate of 1.90 runs per over.
