Cheteshwar Pujara: 8.5/10
Pujara continued his ominous form in Tests and scored 289 runs in 3 matches in this series. He showed his true class in the game at Eden Gardens, where he scored a vital 52 in the first innings on a green track, where other batsmen couldn't do much. He scored one century and one half century in the series overall.
Ajinkya Rahane: 2/10
The biggest loss for India after the series would be the form of Ajinkya Rahane. With only 17 runs in 3 Tests, the Mumbai batsman put up a very disappointing performance. Even though Rahane looked in all sorts of trouble against Sri Lanka, his class and technique would help him would perform well in the South Africa series.
Rohit Sharma: 9/10
If India will go with the combination of seven batsmen and four bowlers on overseas tours, then Rohit Sharma will walk it at number six. He made the most of the opportunities that came his way in this series by scoring one century and two half-centuries in two Test matches. Considering the absence of form of Rahane, India might go with an extra batsman overseas and Rohit would be the ideal man to come in after his Mumbai teammate.
