#3 Time for Pant to step up
The selectors made a bold call when they picked Rishab Pant in T20Is as a pure batsman, despite his poor outings in the ODI series. There is no doubt about his ability with the blade in his hands, after the stellar IPL season, but he is quickly realizing that international cricket is no cakewalk.
He has been guilty of getting out playing reckless shots a little too early in his innings. But it is still early days and he is in no danger of losing his place in the squad just yet. We might have the opportunity to see Pant come out all guns blazing, and this time, he might just set the night on fire.
#2 Bhuvi's class coming through
The famous say goes - Form is temporary but class is permanent. Bhuvneshwar Kumar proved why he is such an important prospect in the Indian bowling line-up as he returned with the stellar figures of 2 for 12 in his quota of 4 overs.
Bhuvneshwar kept things tight against the explosive Windies top-order with the new ball. But, he also returned later in the innings to pick up two wickets. His return to form will also ease concerns of the team management after he had a poor outing in the ODI series.
At Chepauk, India will need a similar performance from him as the venue is no friend to bowlers. The only T20 game played there this year in the IPL, saw a target of 200 being chased down. So Bhuvi has his work cut out.
