Middle Order - Virat Kohli (c), Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), Shivam Dube
Termed by many as the best ODI batsman of this generation, Virat Kohli will walk in to bat at his patented number 3 position. After a couple of impressive performances, Shreyas Iyer will in all likelihood get a longer rope in the team.
Iyer has not only shown the ability to rotate the strike well in the middle overs, but he can also play attacking cricket when the situation demands. His versatility makes him the perfect candidate for the number 4 position in the current lineup.
Rishabh Pant will bat at the number 5 position and will be the designated wicketkeeper of the side. Manish Pandey and Shivam Dube will fight it out for the last spot in the batting line-up, but due to his all-round abilities Dube might be preferred.
The team management has been looking for power hitters to beef up their lower middle order, and Dube might be the latest player to audition for this role.
