#5 Virat Kohli registered his lowest ODI score in 2018
Virat Kohli is arguably the greatest batsman of this generation. The 29-year old has set some astonishing benchmarks in the sport. He recently became the only Indian cricketer to score 3 consecutive ODI centuries and also the 4th Indian to breach the 10,000-run mark in One Day Internationals.
However, the Indian Captain had a rare bad outing today as he was dismissed on the score of just 16 runs. Kohli has scored more than 1000 ODI runs this year and his lowest score, before today, was 36.
#4 India breaches 375 run mark for the 13th time - the most by any country
The Indian team currently has one of the best batting line-ups. With the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the team, the team has a solid top order. Even though the middle order is a bit weak, the batsmen still possess much more talent than many batsmen of some other teams. With the current Indian batting line-up, no target seems tough while chasing and anything less than 300 looks a failure when batting first.
The team, although decided to bat first after winning the toss in today's match (which they generally don't) and posted a mammoth total of 377 runs in 50 overs. India reached the 375-run mark in ODIs for the 13th time which is 4 times more than any other team. The second, third and fourth are South Africa, Australia, and England with 9, 5, 5 times respectively.
