Prithvi Shaw finally made his much-awaited debut against the West Indies in what was one of the lopsided affairs. Shaw has managed to erase all the pressures of huge expectations on him in this very young age. He scored a magnificent hundred on his debut innings and announced his arrival on the world stage in style.

He became just the 15th Indian player to score a Test century on debut and he is definitely a star for the future. His innings has diminished any hopes of Murali Vijay ,and Dhawan making a comeback to the team for the Australian tour at least for the time being.

This is not all, Shaw could become the 9th batsman in the history of the great game and just the 4th Indian after Azharuddin, Ganguly, and Rohit Sharma to score two centuries in the first two matches of their careers.
