Like all normal human beings, Cricketers are also superstitious. Most of them have some lucky charm or mascot.

Sunil Gavaskar, who was part of the 1983 team that won the world cup, used put on his left pad & left shoe first while dressing. Former Indian Cricket captain Saurav Ganguly, who led India to the finals in the World Cup 2003, carried a photograph of his guru in his pocket.

This time the numbers are also with the Indian Team ! . As India had won World Cup in 1983 & 8+3 = 11. So if we follow numbers, Then India can win this World Cup 2011.

  • Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has a lucky pad, which was gifted to him by his brother. Sachin also carries his Lucky Bat.
  • Zaheer khan carries a yellow scarf with him when he is playing.
  • MS Dhoni wears a diamond locket with 7 on it, gifted by his sister.
